There is a deck that surrounds the entire upper level, complete with seating, so that you may enjoy being amongst the many trees that surround the Treehouse. Inside is a stocked kitchen, king sized bed, smart tv (with netflix), a jacuzzi tub, and plenty of seating for all guests. Lower Level: We've got all the patio furnishings you could want, complete with a hammock for relaxing. Ceiling fans provide plenty of airflow during the hot summer months. Close to the covered area is a fire pit and grill with rock wall and traditional seating. The 87Getaway Road House is tucked off the side of Highway 87, just barely hanging out of the woods. This is a recently renovated rustic style house with two bedroom and two baths. We're just 4 miles from Blanchard Springs Caverns and 6 miles from Mountain View, so this is the perfect getaway to nature without sacrificing any amenities. We're in a rural location about six miles from town. This is a peaceful getaway to nature and far enough away from any neighbors for that feeling of seclusion.

The 87Getaway Treehouse Retreat is perfect for those who want to get back to nature. Outside, trees grow through the structure for an added ambience. We can sleep 6 and have a total of four beds: A king sized bed by the entrance, a fold out sleeper sofa in the living room, and two twin sized beds in the loft. While you're not sleeping or exploring all that mountain view has to offer, relax by using the jacuzzi tub or taking in some nature outside on the porch swing and rocking chairs. Outside you will find the beautiful rock walls and firepit with plenty of seating for everyone. A barbeque grill is off to the side for charcoal grilling. With a normal self check-in arrival, there is about 2 miles of gravel and a steep hill to navigate.  After the first time, the drive becomes old hat.   Cabin is located about a 15 minute drive to most common destinations:  City of Mountain View, Blanchard Caverns, White River, horseback riding, Folk Center and Loco Ropes course. ** The two bridges that make up the Double Bridge neighborhood are prone to flash flooding after heavy rains. The cabin is not in the flood zone. Approximately 20 days  out of the year  or for many hours at a time, you can’t get in or out the normal way.   We will  escort you in / out the back during daylight hours or afterhours for addl fee.   This adds 30-45 minutes to your arrival or departure. And what a glorious drive it is. This is the risk for the priceless reward to stay on PEACE MOUNTAIN ROAD along with the handful of locals who have lived here 30+ years. It requires more planning and flexibility with our office than an average cabin rental. ** Only the studio apartment in the walk-out basement has no steps to entry.  The shower and toilet are not chair accessible. Access to the studio requires an additional fee. ABOUT THE WATER: South Sylamore Creek is a spring fed emerald jewel of a creek.    Its level varies with rainfall. It runs year round.   It is known as a premier small mouth bass fishing destination.   Trout will travel up it in winter floods.  It is also great for a refreshing dip in the summer months unlike the White River which is generally too cold and swift, even in August.  If you're sure footed, you can wiggle down the bluff now and access the water.   By June 1 2021 a path / steps will be set.  (Also can walk a few minutes down to either of the public bridges for access)  For more water adventure, go to the White River -  Anglers' and Jack's Resort rent John boats and trout guide services economically. Boats can take you to confluences of other creeks where you can comfortably swim also.  Really fun! Three stories, each with its own deck, permit privacy to soak in the sounds of the hills. ~5 miles to downtown to catch talented folk musicians on the square, head up to the famous Blanchard Springs Caverns & Ozark-St. Francis Forest for hiking/biking, or to Big Flat, AR for our award-winning brewery. The neighborhood The community, location & the creek! You cannot beat this. Just ask any local. We truly have one of the primo spots in all of Stone County! Getting around We live on a gravel road. Be sure you are prepared for that. The hill coming into our community from any of the three accesses off Highway 87 or Highway 66 is steep. Downshifting allows you to take it easy on your brakes, but be aware that you can not avoid the gravel. We love it! Other things to note Please remember we are on a septic system. Do not overload it with excessive toilet paper & place any feminine products in the trash bin. No smoking No parties or events Check in is anytime after 4PM - My sister & I consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have been able to realize our dream of a home in Mountain View. Our family is from the area, & our grandparents once played music on the downtown square. Our little community on the creek is precious & many are older. Please be conscientious of our neighbors near the road you access to reach our driveway, & our neighbors on the other side of the creek whom you may not be able to actually see if the vegetation is in full bloom. - I am a water scientist & my sister is a chief in the Coast Guard, both single moms. We value the Ozark waterways & strive to preserve them for generations to come. Please practice a "leave no trace" motto while on the creek, as well as in the forest & natural areas. We are very thankful to you for keeping this area pristine. We also want you to have a sanctuary frequently to return. - Please leave any used bed unmade & used towels hanging in the bathroom. Remove trash upon departure (see House Manual). If you have chosen to recycle (thank you) the nearest recycling center is on highway 5 between Alison & Mountain View (Stone County Recycle), before you reach Angler's Restaurant (the only place in Stone County with a wine & liquor license). Be sure to lock up, close the curtains & such, turn off all lights except the back porch light (please leave it on for the next person), unplug appliances, wash dishes & put them away. Basically, try to leave our home the way you found it. - We love animals! I am deathly allergic to cats, so if you must travel with your cat, I do understand, but please don't allow it indoors. Sorry! Otherwise, we offer doggy beds. Feel free to locate them wherever your pet is comfortable. Do not allow your pet on the furniture. If your pet is like ours, & that is an impossibility, then please use the extra sheets found in the drawers under the bed in the loft to put on the furniture for them to enjoy while preserving our furniture. WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT THIS PROPERTY: Has an old school authentic fishing cabin feel.  There are two wood burning fireplaces and a comfy queen murphy bed in the main living area.  Kitchen is smaller but everything you need to  cook most meals.  Large lawn gently slopes down to the rivers’ edge where if the levels are right, you can cast your line there or even pull out your kayak.  Rent our next door sister cabin the Upper Deck, to expand your group size and experience.  You have a paved road all the way in .  There is a bonfire pit in the field in front of the river. River View Drive is a neighborhood with full time and part time residents. Cabin is not remote. ABOUT THE WATER: This river is very cold and swift even in August. (Makes for great cool breezes on summer evenings). It is tail waters from two dams and levels fluctuate daily. Boats can take you to confluences of other creeks where you can swim. Really fun! This cabin is the perfect location for relaxing, fishing, floating, canoeing, rafting or exploring the Sylamore National Forest. Located across the River from Jacks Fishing Resort,Jo Jo's and Anglers restaurants which are also river access restaurants.Both resorts have guided fishing trips, boat, kayak, raft and canoe rentals. The Reel Retreat is 5 miles from town, zip lining, go carting and town square shops. The cabin has 2 wood burning stoves, 2 bathrooms, and 1 bedroom. There are 2 beds in the living room. The kitchen stocked with all necessary cookware, coffee pot/filters etc The kitchen also has a keurig coffee pot, microwave and amazing views of the river. The Space: **Because it located is on a bluff, this cabin may not be suitable for small children. This cabin is pet friendly- with $50 pet fee (2 dogs max). Please let me know at booking if you plan to bring a dog. House Rules for dogs apply. Jack's Bend cabin has one bedroom with queen bed and one full bathroom with tub/shower combo as well as a queen sleeper sofa and dining table for four.
